To the Children's Cancer Fund:

On behalf of Hendrick Hudson High School, we would like to present you with this check for $150.00.

Over the past several months, we (the student council) have raised this money by selling lollypops during the lunch periods. The students were also eager to donate for this worthy cause.

We realize that this amount of money may seem fairly small, but we hope it can make a big difference. Please accept our contribution, and we're glad we could help out.

Sincerely,

Jared

Dear Donations Coordinator,

I'd like to take a few moments and introduce you to some very special people. Bob and Marilyn met when they were in the late teens at a Christian summer camp. They married a few years later in August of 1979, shortly before each celebrated their 20th birthday.

Throughout their life together they have always looked for ways to do good in the world. They care deeply for their family and friends and often put the needs of others before their own. When a family member needs help, they are there.

Now, as Bob and Marilyn gather to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary and their 40th birthdays with friends and family, they have chosen to honor their commitment to each other by asking others to make a donation to the Children's Cancer Fund instead buying gifts.

In response to their request, I am enclosing a check to support the important work that your organization does on behalf of children may all parents be as blesses as I have been.

With my sincere good wishes,

Maria

Dear Children's Cancer Fund,

Hello my name is Kelly and I am fifteen years old. I lost a dear friend to cancer this past September 8th, 1999. Brad was fighting cancer of his lymph glands for over a year before he died. He was a great person who was in high spirits most of the time he was stubborn and fought as hard as he could until he couldn't fight any longer. I am just writing to thank you for giving him that opportunity to fight even though he wasn't successful. If it wasn't for your contribution to the research of cancer he was able to live again or so we thought but the extra time we had with him was very special and I am grateful to you people for that. I just hope that in other cases young children and even adults will get a second chance because of the research being done with cancer now. Thank -you again,

Sincerely,

Kelly

To Whom it May Concern,

Enclosed is a check for $136.50 to aid in your work fighting children's cancer.

The money was raised by the members of VISA (Victory in Service and Action), a service club at the high school. They baked goods and sold them during the school lunch periods.

We were made aware of your work through the visit of one of our alumna Tarin Byrne. We hope to continue in our efforts for this cause and would also be interested in providing some service if possible.

VISA is a service club of approximately 60 young women in grades 9-12. If you would like to contact us to discuss possible ways that we might be of help in the 1999-2000 school year, please do so.

We hope that this small donation might help you to continue your work and that you will find success in your endeavors.

Sincerely,

Melissa
